Increased scaling with active MWC

AIX active Mirror Write Consistency (MWC) has scaling limitations in big LPARs with lots of data.
According to PMRs this is because of scalability limitations in the current AIX implementation.
To be able to use that feature also in the future, the design should be improved to also support bigger
amounts of data.

Thank your for your submission. IBM has no plans or strategic focus at this time to further enhance the AIX active MWC technology. For environments that demand higher levels of I/O scale, AIX passive MWC technology is recommended. Another option is to consider replication technologies available in most enterprise class storage subsystem products as an alternative to host based mirroring.

IBM will keep this RFE active for consideration in future AIX releases and may potentially consider further enhancing passive MWC to include some of the benefits of active MWC without the known scaling limits of the current active MWC design.
