Request for fast HBA I/O failure

During FC cable test with NICE Information Service(client), we found I/O delay time gap between AIX server and x86 machine.
When FC adapter driver detects a link event, driver waits approximately for 15 seconds. Client carried out same test on both AIX and Redhat Linux(x86) server by unplugging FC cable. We also had a separate test with Redhat Linux(ppc).

Unlike AIX, there was no delay on Linux(both x86 and ppc). At this point, AIX having 15 seconds delay for many years is not enough to persuade our client.

Linux (both x86 linux and ppc Linux) provides an option to adjust the IO delay time(no_path_retry) and each storage vendor provides a recommended value for each storage. The recommended value of IBM F9150 tested by the client is '5'. With no_path_retry = '5', there was little delay time. Client's application has a timeout value of 10 seconds and IO delay of approximately 15 seconds expects a service timeout of 4000 transactions.

Request) Is it possible to reduce this 15s gap or to give an option to change? For example, 1/2/4/8 seconds options.
