Currently, according to the multibos man page, "You can create a backup that contains both instances by first mounting the standby instance (using the -m flag), and then creating the backup. However, you can restore the backup onto a disk only by using the alt_disk_mksysb command."
The "alt_disk_install" man page states, "You cannot use alt_disk_install to install an earlier version of AIX than the one currently installed on the system. For example, you cannot install an AIX 4.3 mksysb on an AIX 5.1 system."
NIM can install multibos images with the "alt_disk_install" option but not with "bos_inst".
