AIX mksysb not work on rootvg disk with multiple paths
1. Before backing up system we are required to run pprootdev fix . If you do not execute this command, backup process will fail right away. 2. After running pprootdev fix, we back up host using mksysb; 3. Because the AIX OS is not currently designed to deal with duplicate paths to devices without third-party software support, before starting the restore process you must reduce the number of paths to your boot device to one. We would be at risk during this process, should SAN Path fails from IBM AIX Server to EMC Storage. It is due to single path to rootvg disk is in place during mksysb operation. https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg3T1012813
