AIX instfix ran from batch leaves empty dirs in /tmp

I use below command

instfix -i | egrep "ML|SP"| grep "Not all filesets for" | awk '{system ("instfix -ciqk "$5)}' | grep ":-:"

to find if all filesets in AIX are correct. After some time, in /tmp dir there is a lot of empty dirs with name instfixXXXX.
After few days there are thousands of these dirs in /tmp.
I'd like instfix to delete these remaining dirs even if ran from batch.

    The requested RFE appears to be a defect in the current implementation and will be addressed as such.
