IBM's present/default version of BIND for AIX is v9.4,...which is considered by vulnerability scanning tool Qualys as being EOL/Obsolete.
Indeed the latest version of BIND is v9.11. Although IBM AIX support has confirmed that they are still fully supporting BIND v9.4 with security fixes, it is concerning that the level of BIND still being used by AIX is very old and no longer truly supported by ISC - BIND developers/support.
I would suggest that IBM consider upgrading BIND for AIX to a truly supported version of the product via the maker.
