IDS LDAP client enhancement

The IBM AIX ldap client currently does not seem to support load balancer VIP for AD domain controllers. It would be nice to have support for a load balancer VIP instead of having to define a list of comma separated domain controller servers especially for larger organizations with several data centers and large number of domain controllers.

    We had posted some queries to the customer, but so far did not hear any response.

    Currently these comma separated of domain controller servers works as a failure mode, i.e. if the LDAP request fails to get the response on the first server it will try to request the same command onto the second and so on. But, the current AIX LDAP client is not distributing the requests to all the domain controller servers that were configured.
    I hope your looking for an enhancement to distribute commands to all the configured servers. Request you to please confirm if our understand is correct.

    Thanks for reaching to us.
    Currently the comma separated domain controller servers work as a fail back mode, i.e. if LDAP request/command fails to get the response in a stipulated time on the first server then it willtry to send a request to the second server and so on.
    I hope your looking for a solution where the commands can be distributed to these multiple servers (comma separated), in a way distribute the request load.
    Please confirm whether our understand is correct before moving forward.
