Add FC-NVMe N-Port ID virtualization support to Power9

In October, 2022, IBM announced N-port ID virtualization client support for FC-NVMe which provides ANA support for storage that support it (like NetApp).

AIX 7.3 TL1 delivers enhancements that can help you respond faster to business demands:

  • Improvements to Fibre Channel Non-Volatile Memory Express (FC-NVMe) capability to include N-port ID virtualization (NPIV) client support. This capability requires IBM PowerVM® Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) 3.1.4, an IBM Power10 system with FW1030, or later; an NVMeoF NPIV-capable host adapter; and an NVMeoF storage subsystem.

Currently only available on Power10 hardware. I have multiple customers that would like to see this support in Power9. Could it be added?
