Enhance Volume Group "AUTO SYNC" feature to bring a temporarily missing (and now available again) disk back to active and start automatic sync

Dear IBM Ideas team,

"chvg" command option "-s" offers the posibility to start "automatic synchronization of stale partitions" for mirrored logical volumes.
Apparently the code does not provide to bring a missing disk back to active, so the automatic sync is only done when the disk is already active again.

In the use case where a mirror copy in another location was temporarily unavailable (and thus the disks are missing) and then becomes available again, it is necessary to manually bring the disks back to available state and then synchronization can be started also manually with 'varyonvg'.
In this case the AUTO SYNC feature does not start automatic sync.

Therefore please add a feature which also tries to bring a missing disk back to active and afterwards start the automatic sync.
