MPIO needs to take path response time into account

Event: Degraded response time in one path, impacts the overall performance of the other paths of the same hdisk.

MPIO is used to access our disks, running with algorithm shortest-queue, in the event of having a slow path (with no fc errors or scsi errors) the overall hdisk performance is degraded if no I/O queueing in the same hdisk.


Description:We look forward to get MPIO with an algorithm that takes into consideration the path response time and decide to make less/no requests to that path keeping the best overall performance of hdisk

    IBM has evaluated the priority of this enhancement proposal relative to other future product content and determined that this RFE will not be pursued for a future product release
