vHMC Hard Drive Allocation

would like the vHMC 8.8.7 sp1 to install with a much smaller HDD. 500GB default is too much for our environment.

    We have evaluated the request , but is not part of our roadmap in the near future and hence marking it as declined for now.

    Each 1TB storage location contains multiple VM's.

    In our environment 1TB Storage Locations is the current configuration to host our VM. The 500GB limit does not allow for me to vmotion to other storage locations. We found also that the growth of the disk space was minimal over a 1yr period (utilizing 26GB total). We would like the ability to choose a smaller disk size and then if growth was necessary than we could increase the disk.

    Hi,

    Can you please provide more info on the limitations with 500 GB disk space for vHMC, like what is the limitation with vMotion? The disk space requirement is to accommodate for space needed for collecting Performance & Capacity Monitoring data, dumps among other things
