We have attached a couple of Data Domain 2500's to a group of Power 8's. The wrong WWPN's are stored in the existing lpar profile. There is no way to change the WWPN for the virtual fiber channel adapter using the HMC GUI. You have to follow the highly error prone method outlined in
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1011009
The work around is to save the 'current' profile over any existing profiles to get the right WWPNs. However this must be done BEFORE you IPL from one of these existing profiles and it screws up your WWPN's.

Hi,
Is the requirement to edit the WWPN's when the lpar is already running? Currently CLI supports the option to edit the wwpn's in a profile and then you can activate the lpar with the modified profile. In the enhanced UI, you can specify the WWPN's when attaching Virtual FC storage to the partitions as well.
Thanks,
I got a system generated email from IBM asking for more information but the link was just to thie request and I cannot figure out what information they are asking for.
