Option to save the default view, columns shown , pagination is available from HMC V9 R1 M910 onwards. After selecting the required columns, you can save by clicking on icon (attached screenshot) to persist the selection across logoff/login.

The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.

This seems to be a "nice-to-have" feature, but for those who work with HMCs every day or very often, it's irritating.
I am asked by almost every customer for saving the personal view, especially in big environments with a lot of partitions.
IBM implemented the blue pin to get a shotcut to a specific page ( for example the partitions view ).
You can choose between default coloums and capacity coloums, but there should also be a button for saving a customized view.
Not logging off should not be the solution, but is an often used workaround.
