Creating and Signing Certificates on HMC

In order to use Creating and Signing Certificates on HMC, you have to invalidate the existing Certificate and use a self-signed certificate. If you have a currently valid certificate, and are requesting a new certificate using a CSR prior to existing certificate expiration, this is a major security flaw.

    Hi,

    There is no need to switch to a self signed certificate to import a new certificate. In the panel which is shown after you download the CSR, you can select "No" to not switch to self signed certificate and you can just close/cancel the main panel. Once the new certificate is ready, it can be imported & set till which time the existing certificate will be used as is. Please let us know if you need more information on the same.
