Allow access to python on the HMC. We would like to use our ansible server to automate certain tasks on the HMC.
From the CLI it looks like I cant access it when I run python --version.
It seems to be out there
ls -l /bin/python*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Aug 26 2016 /bin/python -> python2
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Aug 26 2016 /bin/python2 -> python2.7

Currently there are no plans to expose python in restricted shell mode. However, you can still integrate with Ansible using a ssh or rest api based custom module.
Thanks.
Not to be used as an Ansible server. The Ansible server is separate from the HMC but can't run it's commands without access to python.

Hi,
Is the requirement to use the HMC as an Ansible server? Please note that HMC is a closed appliance and not all linux commands are accessible in the shell.
Thanks.
