Ability to add vscsi client and server adapters with dlpar without mappings to HMC V91.920 Enh. GUI

In HMC V91.920 Enhanced GUI, dlpar function has been limited to add the client vscsi and server vscsi adapters along with the mappings to the physical disks or logical disks. The customer is requesting to have the function the way it was in V8, where they could add only the vscsi adapters without the mappings, to have more control of the mappings. In this case so they can come back at later time and add the mappings manually via a script on the vio server.

    Option to add/remove Virtual FC adapters in VIOS is available with HMC V9 R2 M950

    Hi,

    In the Enhanced UI, server adapter id's and client adapter id's can be specified while attaching storage to a partition and when storage is attached, adapters will be created. Can you please help with some use cases on creation of an empty client-server adapter pair without any storage attached to it?
