labels for fiber channel ports

Can you introduce labels for fiber channel adapters/ports in HMC as we have it already for SR-IOV NIC´s?

This feature for SR-IOV NIC´s is really great and i like to have it also for fiber channel as we have to deal with different SAN fabrics in our company. Then it would be possible to put some information to the port, e.g. SAN switch& Port, Fabric name visible from HMC GUI and CLI.

    Hi Sebastian,

    This enhancement is supported with HMC V10 R1 M1010. Requires VIOS 3.1.2 or later.

    Hi,

    Ability to specify labels for Physical FC ports is planned as an enhancement in an upcoming release.
