To be able to specify the destination vios in the commands rrstartlpar and migrlpar

To be able to specify the destination vios in the commands rrstartlpar and migrlpar, since, if in a same Power there are more than 1 pair of vios, these commands verify if the vlan's of the partition can be configured in all the vios servers and give errors in those that cannot; these errors are not relevant if you don't really want to configure the vlan's of the lpar in those vios; if you could specify the destination vios, you would only get the errors related to the vios that will serve the lpar, being the output of the clearest command.

Marking as delivered since option to use --nodetails seems to address the use case.

    Hi,

migrlpar or rrstartlpar commands have an option --nodetails which can be used to avoid printing additional details if there are no errors. In this specific case, if there are no errors in vlan validaton i.e., one of the vios is able to bridge the network on the target system , then using --nodetails will help in not printing details of other vios where vlan validation might have failed. Also, destination vios specification is available for scsi/fc/vnic. Does this help with your use case?

    Thanks.
