HMC V8.85 Locked user after inactivity is difficult to reset

After setting user to 1 day expiration for inactivity the initial
results were what I expected. Login with id and it was locked.
1) I set the id inactivity to 0 and clicked OK all the way through then
before trying to log in with that id I set the inactivity to 1 logged
out of admin and then logged back in as user. The user id was still
locked
2) I went back in as admin set inactivity on the locked id to 0 and
tried logging in again and the id worked. I then set the user id
inactivity to 1 and logged in again with that user id and it was
successful
This is an issue. We should be able to reset the user id without
setting inactivity to 0, waiting for user to log in and then setting
inactivity to what ever standard we have.

    Hi ,

Change was made in HMC V9 R1.910 to reset the inactivity timer when setting it to 0 without having the user to login between resetting and setting back the standard value . So if a user is locked out of because of inactivty,

    As admin user

    1. Set inactivity to 0 and save - this will reset the inactivity timer
    2. Set inactivity to standard value

User should be able to login.

    Hi,

We are looking at options for resetting the user inactivity without having the user login in-between. However one question on the work flow - is the expectation that the inactivity would be reset when the value is set to 0 & saved and then the admin can reset the value to previous one?

    Thanks.
