HMC ethernet failover capability

Currently we have eth0 private as usual, eth1 is publice with a 221 address with routing and gateway device as eth1. That cable is plugged in to our B side switch. We would like to add another connection to our A side switch in case b side goes down or is tested. If I add another eth with a 221 address and I make the gateway device as any will it use whichever is up or is that not an option?

    Hi,

Ethernet failover or network bonding of interfaces in HMC has been added in HMC V9 R1 M920.

    Thanks.
