Have HMC show submitted commands

Like storwize Software, HMC Power Management console uses command strings created by the web UI to execute the functions. Most of these commands also can be sent by ssh. For documentation compliance and learning purposes it is requested to have an option which shows the commands being executed like the storwize software does. As both components (HMC and Storwize) mostly are used by the same operator within an IBM environment, it is highly recommended to align this kind of functionality.

    Hi,

HMC UI uses either Rest API or calls the back-end to perform functions. The Rest API in turn calls the command line interface and all of this already logged and available via audit logs in the HMC. Please see the blog at https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/0196fd8d-7287-4dff-8526-102b5bcf0df5/entry/HMC_Logging_and_Auditing?lang=en for more information on HMC logging/auditing. Please let us know if the requirement is more than what is already available for auditing purpose.

    Thanks.
