Need maintenance mode for SR_IOV FW Updates

we have several SR-IOV config running - SR-IOV native with NIB, vNIC Failover, VF for a SEA etc.
When want to do a FW update for the SR-IOV card we need to do a lot of manual things like vNIC failover activation or NIB switching etc because today we dont have a Maintenance mode in HMC so that HMC and PowerVM is doing everything

    Hi Vince,

We have evaluated this request and maintenance mode support specific to vNIC is part of long term roadmap. We are also considering switch vNIC hosted by one VIOS to other VIOS'es as part of RFE 132175 in our roadmap.

    Thanks.
