The Enhanced GUI does not show the full HMC software and patch level information.
To access this information you need to run the lshmc -V command from an HMC command line.
This is fine if you are logged on to locally to the console as you can open the Restricted Shell Command line.
However, if logged in remotely this function is not available and you need to use access the command remotely using an SSH emulator like PuTTY.
Understandably, (for good security reasons) IBM does not, by default, allow remote SSH access to the HMC.
It is possible it see basic information, this is shown on the HMC update page but as mentioned this is not detailed, and does show items like which iFix patches are installed.
I've attached two screen shots to demonstrate the difference levels of information that are available from GUI and Command line. (Apologies if I've missed something).
Ideally, I would like to see an extra option on the Console Management page, called something like "Current HMC software version information" that shows the output from the lshmc -V command.

Hi,
Moving this to delivered as per previous comments. We will consider for showing in other views like console settings/management.
Thanks.
Thanks Edje, I had totally missed that.
@IBM Please consider adding a link to the same "About" information on the Console Setting page, hopefully this will help more users find the information a little more easily.
Other than that, please feel to close off this RFE.
You can see the HMC level in the Enhanced GUI when going to the upper right corner and click on the question mark and select About.
