Integrate Configuration Health Check with Firmware and HMC Code Update Process

This marketing field requirement requests a fundamental change
to the way IBM delivers firmware and HMC code updates to
customers. Currently warnings and specific details about the
installation of a newly released firmware and HMC code are
provided through a README file. It is not an integrated part of the
installation procedure to do pre- and post-installation health
checks to ensure that none of the new features and functions of
the release are in conflict with the existing configuration settings
and system parameters.
Customer Finanz Informatik (FI) request to change the firmware
and HMC code delivery to include health check procedures and
related warning messages which get displayed during software
installation with every new release.

    Hi,

    The enhancement request has been evaluated , but currently there are no plans to implement the function in the near future.
