HMC GUI > Implement a "button" for opening an IBM HW/SW Support Case that automatically pulls in data (S/N, OS Level etc.) from an LPAR or Managed System

This is a request for enhancing the functionality of the HMC GUI with:

  • A button / or menu that enables the user to open an IBM Support case directly and easily from the HMC GUI

  • By selecting the affected LPAR / VM or Manages System

  • Base data needed (System Serial Number S/N, OS Level etc.) can automatically be pulled from the HMC Into the case - which makes life easier for system administrators
