When a UAK expires it creates a lot of noise - the attention LED is lit against a managed system, a serviceable event is generated/sent and an alert sent to every LPAR on the managed system.
Whilst I am aware that it is possible to automate the UAK renewal process from the HMC, for systems with restricted access this is not possible. It would therefore be good to configure an alert from the HMC when a UAK is 14 days from expiry - messages are sent to the GUI currently but nothing is sent via a SNMP Trap or email until the key actually expires meaning an extended amount of administration to clear down all related alerts.
When a new key is entered it would also be nice to have a dialog box asking if you want to close the alerts and deactivate the system attention LED - nice to have if possible and prolong the life of the attention LED!

Excellent idea to prevent needless alerts
