Add ability to set the idle timeout when LDAP auto-manage is enabled

Due to recent audit findings, we are enabling auto-manage using LDAP groups to audit users who have access to the HMC. The plan is to have users inherit user properties defined in the LDAP groups. During testing, we noticed when LDAP is configured without auto-manage, we have the ability to set the idle_timeout for LDAP users. When auto-manage is enabled, the idle_timeout is set to 0 and is not configurable.

Reason to set idle timeout when auto-manage is enabled:

  • Consistency when auto-manage is disabled vs enabled

  • To ensure the HMC does not have long running idle sessions which could prevent new logins due to max login limits being reached.

  • HMC performance degraded due to numerous inactive sessions consuming resources.

  • Ensure HMC is in compliance and following industry standards for idle sessions.

This will benefit all customers that are using LDAP with auto-manage.

The option to configure the idle_timeout in the user properties should behave the same when auto-manage is disabled. Customers should be able to set the idle_timeout. If the vale is not set, then inherit the value from the HMC default setting.
