Sharing of VIOS Upgrade/Update ISO files between HMCs

Dear Sirs,

we used the HMC to download and update the VIOS partitons on our Test-Site.

Although we locally stored the ISO (on the HMC at the Test-Site), we were not able to transfer it to the HMC at the Production-Site.

As we want to be sure to use the same image on both sites, this means that the functionnality to download the image directly to the HMC, without beeing able to pass it along (to another HMC or a jump server), is quite useless.

 

Put shortly: it would be great to be able to share ISO images between HMCs.

    .Hi , Thanks for reaching out.

    How about using the solution with SFTP /NFS server . This approach of sharing the images across the HMCs will be simpler.
