enhance HMC command saveupgdata to allow FTP to another server as non-root user.

This is a DCR enhancement to HMC command saveupgdata to support saved files to HMC hard drive to be send over to a remote site that can then used as a backkup files to create USB or DVD media for recovery purposes. With this capabilities, HMC saveupgdata files can be done without the need to have physical access to the HMC enable to perform HMC maintenance such as HMC upgrade or HMC updates .

Having this flexibility will also allow to fully automate the HMC upgrade process via scripting.

    What does it mean to use saved upgrade data to be "used as a backkup files to create USB or DVD media for recovery purposes"? Is upgrade data and backup critical console data being confused?

    saveupgdata (to local disk if USB is unavailable) and getupgfiles CLIs can be invoked remotely, as part of a script. So it's not clear why saved upgrade data needs to be exported off the HMC. Before a planned upgrade, simply call saveupgdata first.
