Better HMC/VIO error reporting when /tmp on VIO is full

I had a recent situation that when I tried to add virtual storage adapters (NPIV) to a LPAR, using the HMC, the process completed but the adapter was never created.

I tracked down to /tmp being full on the VIO server.  

So, if this condition occurs.

  • The process should fail and return an error.
  • Ideally the error would point to the issue.

Could also be an option to have an error get reported, before any tasks is exectuted, if a VIO filesytems fills up.
