Request about Printing forms with ruled line on ACS.

■Description & Background
On IBM i Access for Windows or Pcomm,it is possible to output forms to the printer by a GDI printing capability of a windows printer session.
But that is not possible on ACS.

On ACS, for printing forms with ruled line,it is necessary to use PDT or HPT printing methods.
The Java print service does not depend on the printer to be used, but only text can be printed.
We obtained the above answer from SWMA.

In order to print a form with a ruled line,
・ Using PDT printing or HPT printing depending on a specific printer can not be recommended to customers in environments with various printers.
・ To purchase Pcomm12 to shift to Windows10, we will be forced to invest additional investment, so we can not recommend it to customers.

If this can not be solved, our customers can not move from IBM i Access for Windows to ACS, so our customers can not move to Windows10 as well.

We want you to be able to print forms with ruled lines from ACS by the printing method using OS printer driver which does not directly depend on the model and type of printer.

There are two methods of implementation, so we want them to correspond to both.

Possible methods,for example
① Add ruled line output function to existing the Java print service.Or
② As a new function of ACS, add the function equivalent to GDI printing capability of IBM i Access for Windows.

Even if the customer shifts from IBM i Access for Windows to ACS, the form output function can be used with the same operation and operation method as before.
