Integrate IBM I Access 5250 with Mac Touch Bar

We are running IBM I Access Client Solutions v 1.1.6.1 build 6431 on
some MacBook Pro 2016 with touch bars. We would expect to the able to add the application to the shortcut definitions for the OS to display
the function keys in the touch bar. Despite adding IBM I Access Client
to the shortcuts...the touch bar does not display the function keys.

Support indicated this requires additional application integration that IBM is not planning to do.

Use Case:

After adding IBM I Access to the shortcuts in system preferences, the Function keys do not automatically appear in touch bar.

Thank you for submitting your Request For Enhancement. After evaluating your submission, the decision at this time is to not provide this support.
However, you can still enable the function keys within OS X under System Preferences, Keyboard.
