IBM agrees with the request and intends to provide a solution in a future release. These plans are subject to change and no commitment is made that a solution will be provided.

Re-opened for consideration. The CPF1220 could potentially be sent to QSYSMSG or an audit entry could be sent when the user has reached the device session limit.

I do not see the reason why this shows "Delivered" there is no facility that exits on the system today to either STRWCH or DSPJRN for the message that a user cannot log onto more that one session.

Can we please re-open this for discussion and a possible change to the OS that allows for the CPF1220 to be "externalized" beyond the signon screen the user sees.

I have attempted to use STRWCH for this CPF message, the problem is that the message is not logged anywhere(that I can find).
If given a little guidance as to where to "point the" STRWCH I'm all good.

The security audit journal, QAUDJRN, already contains the information you are looking for (invalid signon attempts using an invalid password or a userID that does not exist). See chapter 9 of the security reference .PDF in the knowledge center for details.

The CAAC looked at this requirement and wonders if watches (STRWCH) might be a solution or circumvention. Watches can alert you when the message is sent and you can take whatever auditing actions you need.

Is there some reason watches are not sufficient?
