Improvement of 5250 emulation

When you start a 5250 emulation sesion you get a tab saying " A - sysname'. If you start another sesion you get "B- sysname".

I would like to be able to change this session text by opening a text window with a rigth mouse click on the tab.

Use Case:

I am working with support of our software customers When I get a call from a customer, I will often start a new session, Often this session is parked while the customer is collecting information I have asked him for. Now it would be very usefull if I could change the session tab to "Cust name", so it would be easy to activate this session when the customer returns to me. As it is now, I will have to activate the sesions one by one until I hit the one I have to return to. I migth hav op to 10 sessions running.

The ability to customize the tab is currently available from a 5250 emulation session by selecting Edit->Preferences->Appearance->Window Setup... From there, you can modify the Session Name and other items displayed. The ability to modify by right clicking the tab will not be provided at this time.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM not implement this request. There is already a work-around, as described in a Comment below.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

IBM has received this requirement and is evaluating it. A response will be provided when evaluation is complete.

Within the session window, review the dialog box at Edit, Preferences, Appearance, Window Setup. You can also save each session definition to a separated *.HOD file to be reused later.
