According to documentation the limit for an SQL statement is 2^21 bytes, yet the limit for a host variable in a dynamic SQL statement is approximately 2^15 bytes.
This is preventing SQL statements larger than 32740 bytes from being prepared and executed.
Customers use 3rd party tools to provide SQL overrides to our software. Some of these tools provide the SQL in 3-tier name format; i.e. SELECT MY_SCHEMA.MY_TABLE_COLUMN_NAME_001, MY_SCHEMA.MY_TABLE_COLUMN_NAME_002 FROM MY_SCHEMA.MY_TABLE
Complex SQL statements that join multiple tables can easily exceed the current host variable limit.
