This RFE has been delivered with IBM i 7.4. If you would like support also on IBM i 7.3, please submit a new RFE to request IBM i 7.3 support so we can monitor the votes from people who would like this function on IBM i 7.3, and you can track the status of the new request.

This function is included with IBM i 7.4 release, which will be generally available on June 21, 2019.
SNDSMTPEMM now supports 255 characters for SUBJECT and 5000 characters for NOTE in IBM i 7.4.

This is a valid requirement and the development is ongoing.

This is a candidate for next release.

A limit of 400 characters for the note makes use of this command unlikely and instead I must use QTMMSENDMAIL, which is a pain.
Please increase the size to at least that of the parameter size of SNDDST.

Correct me if I'm wrong but QTMMSENDMAIL doesn't have a size limit. It would be nice if SNDSMTPEMM had the same (un)limitations as QTMMSENDMAIL.

    Thank you.
