CPYSLF OVRPRTF tooutq

With OVRPRTF and CPYSPLF you are able to create a PDF in the IFS.

Today normal Printers are able to print PDF directly.

It would be really great when IBM could provide a new option to leave the PDF output as *usrascii in the outq and not to save it in the ifs.


Use Case:

Printing pdf over IBM outq.

    Thank you for your request. IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed. See previous Comment from CAAC about 3rd party companies that can provide this function.

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM not implement this request. There are third-party utilities that do this rather than IBM investing in this.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
