WRKJOB/DSPJOB was enhanced in 7.3 to add OPTION(*ENVVAR) to allow you to display the environment variables for another job. It is unlikely that we would extend this support to an API, therefore I am declining the request at this time.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:

    Product family - Power Systems
    Product - IBM i
Component - Work Management and Messaging
    Operating system - IBM i
Source - ISV (Independent Software Vendor)

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Power Systems
    Product - IBM i
    Component - Db2 for i
    Operating system - IBM i
Source - ISV (Independent Software Vendor)

IBM has created the PTF SI60303 for IBM i 7.3.
The parameter OPTION in command WRKJOB has the new value *ENVVAR to display the Environment Variables of a job.
Or use the new entry "22. Display environment variables, if active" in the "Work with Job" menu.
