Access Client Solutions (ACS) - missing IFS "Open with" (Microsoft Windows)

Within ACS we can open the "Integrated File System" support application. This tool is very fast and handy for navigating through the IFS and performing file operations (copy, delete, etc...). While navigating through directories small icons in front of the files appear indicating visually the type of the file (PDF, Excel, etc.). The biggest caveeat however is, that the files can not be opened in any way.


Use Case:

It should be possible via mouse double click or right mouse click and "Open/Open with" to open the file directly, ideally with the standard application that the icon in front of the file is showing.

    The following support is now available in version 1.1.7.3 dated February 2018:

    An option to View the contents of the file has been provided. This option will allow some file types to be opened with the default program for that file type. Support for additional file types will be considered as requested.

    An option to Open the contents will not be provided. An option to View the contents of the file will be provided. This option will allow some file types to be opened with the default program for that file type. Support for additional file types will be considered as requested.
