IBM i Access Client Solutions 5250 Session Emulator - Expand Window Size when changing Display Mode to 132 x 27

When using 5250 Display Emulator that is configured with display size 132x80... When you display a screen that uses 132 x 80, the size of the application window should expand, like the previous emulation program (IBM Personal Communications iSeries Access for Windows, Workstation Program) expanded.

This makes it much easier to read the screen. As it is, when the screen pops into 132 column mode, the font size is too small to read. The user must manually expand the window size. But when the user goes back to 80 column mode, they must manually re-size the window back to its original size.

So this behaviour should be automatic.

Use Case:

When using STRSQL (the green-screen SQL interface), it is very common to use F22 to toggle the Width between 80 column and 132 column (depending on the size of the displayed result set).

The new emulator needs to automatically re-size the window based on the mode of 80 vs 132 column.

The support you are requesting is already available, it is just not enabled by default. To enable automatic window resizing, from an emulator session select: Communication->Configure, Preferences, set Automatic Resize to yes. Be aware that if you are using tabs (multiple sessions sharing the same presentation area) when the window resizes, it affects all the tabs sharing the same presentation area.
