Include TEXT for user profile in GO NETS/Option 12=Work with NetServer Users

Library NETSRVCMD contains several utilities, front-ended by GO NETS.

A frequently used one is option 12=Work with NetServer Users, which lists which profiles have had their NetSvr access disabled.

It includes the option to re-enable, too, but it only lists the user profiles, not the text to give more details on the user profile description.

It would be helpful to have the TEXT for the profile included as well, to ensure the correct profile is enabled.


Use Case:

We use generic profiles, like ID12345, rather than first initial/last name or similar. It would be helpful to have the TEXT for the profile included as well, to ensure the correct profile is enabled.

    Thank you for your request.

    GO NETS is a tool shipped in QUSRTOOL. QUSRTOOL provides examples of tools that can be built for the IBM i, including the source used to build the tools. Users can certainly use them 'as is', however, the source for the programs and display (DDS) files are provided and can be copied and customized.

    The information for GO NETS is described in file QUSRTOOL/QATTINFO member TZLSINFO and includes a section on how to customize this tool.
