SNDSMTPEMM Reply-To

I have read that IBM don't want to make it able to change the sender. But could IBM add a parameter for setting the Reply-To header in the command SNDSMTPEMM.

Use Case:

Sending with a dummy user with e-mail "don't reply " but provide a respond email address for the customer.

API QtmmSendMail can send any MIME Request for Comments (RFCs) compliant MIME file and the mail-from field in the MIME could be different from the actual user profile who calls the API. You can find the information on knowledge center, https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_71/apis/qtmmsendmail.htm. I did not find an example on knowledge center website. The troubleshooting website (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_71/rzair/rzairrzairfixapi.htm) might help if the email is not sent out.

API QTCP/QTMMSND can send any MIME file and the mail-from field in the MIME could be different from the actual user profile who calls the API.

The CL SNDSMTPEMM or SNDDST sets the mail-from fields to whom calls the CL, the reply-to field is set to same as mail-from field automatically. But, the alias name can be used to specify a different name rather than the user profile in the mail-from field.

The following document could guide how to customerize the FROM E-Mail Address When Sending Mail From Your IBM i Server.
    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1021063

    Can this satisfy your requirements?

If your requirement is to specify the reply-to in the CL SNDSMTPEMM, we need evaluate the effort later. We prefer not to change the CL SNDDST.
