Remote file warning on IBM i project

I'm currently using the i Projects perspective and I thinks is a great feature ! Sometimes it can be confusing to know if I'm editing the local source member or the remote member, and it can be easy to lose all my work. I wish that when working on the IBM i projects perspective and if I open a member from the remote system explorer, something clearly identify that file as remote.

I know that when I upload the changes a message appear saying that the remote file is different and ask if I wanna replace, but it can be nice to have something that differentiate from the remote member from the local. It can be as simple as changing the icon used on the tab title of the LPEX editor depending if the file is local or remote, or simply putting something like "(remote member)" and "(local member)" on the tab title.

Use Case:

The user open a remote member. The LPEX editor shows on the tab title a different icon or a message saying that it is a remote member. The user open a member from the i project perspective. The LPEX editor clearly differentiate this member as la local member.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
Product - Developer for Power Systems

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
Product - Developer for Power Systems

Please take a look at the product title bar, rather than the editor title tab, for a constant hint. Is this sufficient?

Thanks for your response. I know about these two features and I use them a lot. But I what I need is a constant hint not just something that appears on mouse hovering on the title bar. I consider myself an experienced user of Rdi and sometimes I confuse myself with the issue that I described in this RFE, so for new users this is worst. Can you just change the icon on the title bar according to the type of the member? The Lpex editor shows a pencil icon on the title bar, if you can overlay another icon to the pencil it will be enough for me. For example show a Pencil icon with an 'R' letter icon if the member is remote...

    Thanks

Currently there are two hints about which version of the file is being edited. In the title bar at the very top of RDi the full file name is displayed. If this begins with "RemoteSystemsTempFile" then it is a remote file, otherwise it will begin with the i Project name containing the member.
Similarly, the same full name can be displayed by hovering (leave the mouse pointer over) the editor tab you wish to see the full path of.

Is this sufficient for your needs?

This RFE is consistent with our strategy and product roadmap and IBM is continuing to evaluate.
