RELATED IDEAS

CL Variables are still stuck with the 32K limit

As of release 6.1, RPG was already modified to have character variables up to 16M.

But the CL language is still stuck with the 32767 character limit.


Use Case:

Passing parameters from CL to RPG and vise versa.

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a low priority feature. With the way some programmers use RPG and CL, they would want the higher limit for CL as well as RPG.
