Divide the RPG manual into a fixed format and a free format version

For many years the RPG manual have described both the fixed format and the free format. As the years has passed the free format version of RPG has been more and more enhanced where the fixed format is more "steady". Now I feel that the manual is getting really messy and need to be divided into two manuals -- one that describes the fixed format and one that describes the free format.

Then you can update the examples in the free format version to free format, because now there is a mess of fixed and free format.

Use Case:

It will be easier to read the manuals as RPG is further developed and enhanced. It will also be easier for new programmers to find the proper information needed.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed. Creating and maintaining a second reference manual would consume significant resources, and this team has quite a long list of higher priority requirements. So, while this is a reasonable requestion, this request is not likely to be implemented anytime soon.

Ya know a reason would be nice. Something like well we looked at your request but think it's dumb so because it's dumb we are going to close it. :)

Or you could say WHY you don't intend to provide a solution. Maybe you don't have time, resource, skills, brains, will power, what ever, but the least you could do is say why.

I agree! Or if you use the information center you could put in the ability to show either the fixed format examples and details, or the free format examples and details. But, for those of us who don't use fixed format anymore, seeing all this fixed format detail is now just getting in the way.
