Run SQL Scripts - Autocomplete

Just like RDI or any else IDE you can autocomplete or look up fields when writing code. It would be great if this would be available in Run Sql as well and in best case it would also be able to handle a library list for those of us with multiple schemas (the one already defined in the connection).

Use Case:

Writing sql:
Select * from tab.. [user press ctrl+space and gets available tables starting with "tab"] selects tableA .
where [user press ctrl+space and get available fields from table in the select from tableA].

As with RDI / Eclipse you would also see field information in the drop down when you select a field/table during autocomplete.

I have wanted this for years and I would say it's a high priority. You're hoping to get younger developers on-board and they come in with auto complete from MSSQL and so forth and unfortunately they (and the rest of us) find a place where they'll spend a good portion of their time being frustrated and slowed down by having to have a secondary source for table names & field names. Without it, Run SQL scripts is hardly better than STRSQL:(

Under Consideration - IBM has received this requirement and is evaluating it. A response will be provided when evaluation is complete.

This functionality is sorely needed. SQL Server management studio is light years ahead of any SQL IDE I have used for the IBM i. If this could also be a plugin to RDI this would be a great plus.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. ACS should strive to provide function similar to other modern SQL tooling, such as Squirrel.
