Allow drag and drop for IFS interface in iACS

Allow drag and drop of files in the Integrated File System (IFS) interface within iACS. This would be similar to what is available with the Navigator for i functionality within IBM i Access for Windows.


Use Case:

Users utilize Navigator for i to drag and drop files to the IFS, and would like to have this ability with the iACS product as well.

    Please reconsider this RFE ... the utility of the IFS function in ACS is seriously hindered by lack of this functionality.

    At the very least enable multi-file selection or directory selection for upload / download then. Current single-file interface is beyond tedious.

    I have a user, who was looking forward to this request being fulfilled, wondering what the comment means, "Drag-n-drop is already supported between IBM i IFS panels, but not between IFS panels and the PC."

    The request was to allow drag-n-drop between an IFS panel and a PC.

    After further consideration, we have decided to decline this RFE. Drag-n-drop is already supported between IBM i IFS panels, but not between IFS panels and the PC.

    IBM has received this requirement and is evaluating it. A response will be provided when evaluation is complete.
