Command to print Query Definitions without using WRKQRY option 6.

Looking for a command line option to print a *QRYDFN instead of using option 6 from WRKQRY. I need to be able to get that output to provide to audit and I'm trying to automate it as much as possible.

Need to be able to call it from CL program.

Use Case:

Something like PRTQRYDFN or DSPQRYDFN OUTPUT(*PRINT).

Can be used in CL programs to create spool file.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

The Db2 Web Query product has the ability to import *QRYDFN objects. We recommend you investigate whether this solution can satisfy your requirement.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Power Systems
    Product - IBM i
    Component - Db2 for i
    Operating system - IBM i
    Source - Client

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Power Systems
    Product - IBM i
    Component - Core OS
    Operating system - IBM i
    Source - Client

Have you looked at the TAATOOL DSPQMQRY? Would that work for what you are looking for?

    Hi Mike

If you have Query Manger 5770-ST1 product loaded, you may be able to do this already, all be it in a slightly different way to the one you have requested.

Check out the RTVQMQRY command, example of it's use in article below, it's quite flexible but you may well need to do a little coding too.

Hope that helps as I can not see IBM development spending any time on Query/400.

FYI, there are some good Query/400 analysis tools built into WebQuery, if you've not checked them out they are well worth a look.

    Good Luck, Steve B
