Navigator for i - Ability to define initial screen after login. Replace "Welcome" screen with blank or other tab/screen.

Nav for I Welcome tab customization.

Navigator for i - Ability to define initial screen after login. Replace "Welcome" screen in the right hand pane, with a blank or other Task screen. Even with restricted security, links on the Welcome screen are still visible. Options should not even be seen by Users that do not have authority to them. Allow the Customer the option to replace the Welcome screen with a blank screen or other "Task" screen in the middle/right side pane.

Use Case:

Security - restrict visibility of "IBM Tasks Page" link by allowing Customer to define their own "Welcome screen in the right hand pane after initial log on to IBM Nav for i.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM not implement this request. Why are users who don't need it getting access to Navigator in the first place? There are ways to implement ACS that will avoid this problem of being able to access Navigator when their job role does not require it.

Fro Security reasons, not being allowed to deploy the browser based iNAV product as a replacement for System i Navigator until the "Welcome" screen can be modified.

The CAAC has reviewed this RFE. More information is needed. Navigator is an admin tool. Do you have non-adiministrator folks that have a need to do only some of the functions?
