ACS SQL Performance Monitor

When starting an SQL Performance Monitor in IBMi ACS using the Wizard, in the first screen you are able to enter a job name and Job user. The job number is missing.

Use Case:

If you want to select a specific job number to work with, you have to make no selection in this creen and press next. In this next screen you have the option to add a job name, job user and job number. Once you know this it is easy, but it does lead to a lot of confusion. after all the only thinhg making a job unique is the job number.

    Hello IBM_Systems_Developer,

This request was created on behalf of a customer, I will inform them. I am sure they understand this decision. For their business SQL performance is key, so everything helping them to improve performance is of high value.

    Greetings Rudi

Thank you for submitting your Request For Enhancement. We understand the value of this RFE, but higher priority items have taken precedence. We are keeping this on our list for consideration in the near future.

The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed.

Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” low priority feature. This sounds like poor screen design -- missing the 3rd element on the first screen.
